The results of the Class 10 public examination were released at 9 AM today, with a notable increase in the pass rate compared to last year. Girls outperformed boys by 6.43%.

Speaking to the media about the results, Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi addressed concerns about the reopening of schools amid rising temperatures. He stated, “As already announced, schools are scheduled to reopen on June 2. We are still holding that position. However, the Climate Management Committee operating under the Chief Minister’s Office is monitoring the heat conditions. The final decision on reopening will be based on their recommendations.”

He further added, “If the heatwave intensifies this year, we will act on the instructions of the Climate Management Committee in the best interest of students.”

With the rising temperatures, students and parents are eagerly awaiting further updates, as a delay in reopening schools remains a possibility.

Do you just lie down on the bed for a long time without sleeping but busy scrolling through the social media or binge watching etc, you might not be alone!!

It is noteworthy that bed rotting can be a way to overcome stress, depression etc and many these days do this. Bitter truth is that bed rotting would become harmful if it replaces social interaction, physical activities and daily routines etc.

Our health can get affected by bed rotting in these ways.

Weakens muscles and joints etc:

When we just lie down on the bed for a long time, our joints would turn stiff and we could get muscle atrophy etc. It must be taken into account that without any movement our body`s muscles in back, legs etc begin to weaken leading to back pain, poor posture etc.

Disrupts sleeping patterns:

When we spend excess time on the bed during the day, then our body`s circadian rhythm would get disrupted. By this, we could get issues in sleeping during the night plus poor sleep quality, insomnia etc. This would create a cycle of fatigue and bed rest etc.

Increases depression and anxiety etc:

Point is that bed rotting that starts as a coping mechanism could worsen mental health also. Truth is that the lack of sunlight coupled with physical activity etc would deepen sadness, isolation and anxiety etc. This could result in depression etc.
