164 Government Arts & Science Colleges are functioning in the State of Tamil Nadu under the Directorate of College Education.
There are 107,299 seats available in these colleges to pursue graduate arts and science courses. Online applications for admission to these courses concluded on 22nd May. A total of 299,558 candidates had applied online. Out of this, 244,104 candidates had filled the application in complete detail and also made the payment of fees.
In a notification released by the Department of Education, it is mentioned:
“There are 107,299 seats available for admission to the arts and science graduate courses offered in the 163 government colleges. Admission to the graduate arts and science courses is now in full swing. So far, 75,811 candidates have been admitted to the first year of the graduate arts and science courses.
Admission for the remaining seats is in progress based on the Rule of Reservation.
The admission to the first year of the arts and science graduate courses will continue until the 23rd of June. The classes for the first-year graduate course students will commence on the 3rd of July 2023.”
