Gold Prices Surge by Rs. 640 per Sovereign in Chennai; Jewelers Shocked
Gold prices witnessed a sharp rise today, increasing by up to Rs. 640 per sovereign in a single day, leaving jewelers and consumers stunned.
Gold has been touching new highs throughout this year. On October 17, the price of one sovereign reached an all-time peak of Rs. 97,600. After Diwali, prices dipped slightly, but over the last two days, gold has been on a steady upward trend. As of today, one sovereign is being sold at Rs. 94,400.

In Chennai, the price of 22-carat gold jewelry has increased by Rs. 80 per gram, bringing the cost of one sovereign to Rs. 94,400.
Today’s Silver Price
Silver prices have also inched upward. One gram of silver is being sold at Rs. 176, an increase of Rs. 2. The price of one kilogram of silver has risen by Rs. 2,000, now sold at Rs. 1,76,000.
