The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Tamil Nadu has announced the much-awaited TN NEET UG counselling 2023 Round 1 seat allotment results today. Aspirants can access their outcomes on the official website – tnmedicalselection.net.
Candidates who have been successfully allotted seats in Round 1 will be able to download their provisional allotment letters from August 7 to August 11. It`s important to note that those individuals who have been granted seats in this round must report to their designated institutes by August 11 (5 pm). The essential process of document verification will be carried out within the allotted colleges. Original documents, along with scanned copies for verification, are required during the enrollment process.
The upcoming stages of the TN NEET counselling 2023 include a Round 2 and a mop-up round, catering to the availability of vacant seats. The DMER Tamil Nadu has clarified, “Candidates who did not choose any of the self-financing MBBS (Category B) options in Round 1 will not be eligible for that category in Round 2.” The allocation of Tamil Nadu MBBS seats is determined by the candidates` choices, NEET UG scores, state merit ranks, reservations, and other criteria stipulated by the authority.
In a crucial advisory, the authority urges candidates to adhere to the reporting deadline at the allotted colleges to secure their admission. Failure to do so may result in cancellation without prior notice. The DME Tamil Nadu oversees the TN MBBS and BDS counselling processes for 85% state quota and the entire array of private college seats. Notably, admissions to the 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be facilitated through NEET 2023 counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
