The Department of School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has been earnestly engaged in the task of confirming 100% enrolment of students from the 1st to the 12th Standards in schools.
In this aspect, a special statistics collection has been initiated and is in full progress regarding the children of the age group 6-18 who dropped out of school midway after studying!
The drop-out students of the above cadre are being imparted special training through the training centres!
This gathering of statistics as above was conducted last year through a cellphone App.
With the feedback/experience gained from the above exercise, this Aap was revised and is all set to be used again this year for the statistics for 2022-23.
With this statistics collection, the details of the children who dropped out of school without any explanations, the children who never attended school, and the students who discontinued without completing the 8th Standard!
As such, the Department of School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered that these statistics MUST BE GATHERED WITHOUT LEAVING ANY RESIDENCE IN THE PANCHAYEATS IN ALL DISTRICTS TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO GET THE CHILDREN IN THE AGE GROUP 6-18 WHO DROPPED SCHOOL AND THOSE WHO DO NOT GO TO SCHOOL ALL!
In the statistics collected house-wise, SPECIAL ATTENTION MUST BE GIVEN to THE RESIDENCES SITUATED CLOSE TO RAILWAY STATIONS, BUS TERMINALS, RESTAURANTS AND EATERIES, VEGETABLE/FLOWER/FRUIT MARKETS, HUTMENT AREAS, RESIDENTS WHO LIVE NEAR THE COAST IN THE COASTAL DISTRICTS, (ESPECIALLY FISHERIES) AND AREAS WHERE FUNCTIONS ARE ORGANISED!
Teachers, Tutors, Headmasters, Rural Nurses, Special trainers, Anganwadi Staff, and academic aficionados will all be deployed/engaged in this task of gathering statistics of drop-out school kids and non-school-going kids!
The Director of the Integrated School Education Plans for the State of Tamil Nadu has sent a circular mentioning that THIS STATISTICS GATHERING TASK MUST BE UNDERTAKEN FROM TODAY (18TH DECEMBER) TO 11TH JANUARY!
