To help the students to get the freebies and scholarships on time, the online monitoring system for the students welfare schemes in TN would be enhanced.
The Special Programme Implementation Dept has developed an interactive webpage for recording the policy announcement status especially in the schools and education wing etc. In the intranet system of the Secretariat website, it was hosted.
It was mentioned by a senior officer from the higher education dept that for generating several types of analytical reports, a monitoring software was also upgraded. According to the needs, the monitoring software was periodically customised. He explained that additional nodal officers have been nominated by the concerned government departments to coordinate with the respective heads and update the status of announcements.
Based on the progress furnished by the several departments, status of announcements would be categorised and this would be as a part of up-gradation. For the high level meeting conducted time to time, consolidated reports would be generated.
It must be noted that the kit under Ennum Ezhuthum scheme was also delayed for the govt aided schools in TN and complaints regarding this were made. The senior official spoke about how it was decided to ensure that all the study materials were supplied on time through a monitoring system.
