Here comes a `Sweet` piece of news for the school students in Tamil Nadu!!
On 14th August 2023, the Social Welfare Dept would be serving the TN govt school students with Sweet Pongal along with their midday meals. Apart from schools, sweet pongal would be provided at Anganwadi centers too.
It was later brought to light by a midday meal worker that instructions were given to them to serve sweet pongal on 3rd June which is the birth anniversary of former CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. M. Karunanidhi. The worker added that since the schools remained closed on 3rd June due to the summer vacations, the dept has ordered to serve sweet pongal on 14th of August 2023.
