The Tamil Nadu State Electricity Board has decided to organize special camps for the citizens to link their Electricity Connection Numbers with their Aadhar cards and has released an announcement on the same!
In a notification released by the Tamil Nadu State Government Minister for Electricity Senthil Balaji, it is mentioned:
Special camps are being organized from today (Monday, 28th November) by the Tamil Nadu State Electricity Board for linking the Electricity Connection Numbers with Aadhar cards.
These camps will function until 31st December
Until this period, consumers can pay the electricity bills as per the current procedure!
Arrangements have been made to organize these special camps at the 2811 TNEB (TANGEDCO) section offices throughout Tamil Nadu. The required number of staff has been deployed for this purpose!
It has been decided to run these special camps on all days except the festival days! It is notified that the camps will function even during the weekends on Sundays!
The special camps will function every day from 10.00 AM until 5.15 PM.
Special arrangements have been made for this.
It is announced that the public will participate in these special camps and complete the task of linking their Electricity Connection Numbers with their Aadhar Cards!
As such, it is expected a large number of citizens will gather at the above-mentioned TANGEDCO Section Office where special camps are conducted.
A period of 34 days is given to the public through these special camps to link the Electricity Connection Numbers with Aadhar Cards.
It is worth noting at this juncture that SO FAR, MORE THAN 5.5 LAKH CITIZENS HAVE ALREADY LINKED THEIR ELECTRICITY CONNECTION NUMBERS WITH THEIR AADHAR CARDS!
