The Chief Executive Officer of the Thirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board (TTD) had a session with press reporters and shared the following information:
Rooms are allotted to visiting devotees within 5-10 minutes using facial identity technology, which also prevents the malpractice of brokers misusing room allotment.
This system is useful in eliminating the brokers and their malpractice.

When registering for rooms, advance payment will be collected along with facial identity registration. The advance payment will be returned only when the devotee hands over the room in person.

A devotee can only utilize the room allotment once every 30 days with Aadhar card identification.

A maximum revenue of Rs. 2.95 crores has been earned through this room allotment from 1st March until 12th March. This procedure is used for both booking and current booking.

Counters located at different places for booking rooms will be checked and tested, and relocated near the Office of the Chief Regulation Officer (CRO).

Identity checks and rooms will also be given to devotees at Vaikuntam Complex-2. The misuse of distribution of free laddu prasadams has decreased after the introduction of facial identity.

Laddus will only be given in the physical presence of the devotee. Devotees will not be able to get more than one token in a day, thus preventing the malpractice of a single devotee having more than one darshan on a given day.
