It is April middle and the summer has arrived!!
Now, temperatures of 100 degrees have been recorded in several places across Tamil Nadu. Under the scorching sun, the people have been finding it very difficult now. It was mentioned in the press release from Mr. Senthamarai Kannan, Chennai Meteorological Centre that at 5:30pm temperature the maximum temperature was 105 degrees Celsius at Karur Paramathi and Erode, 104 degrees in Vellore, 103 degrees in Salem, Thiruthani, Thirupathur, 102 degrees at Madurai, Trichy and Chennai.
Places like Meenambakkam, Palayamkottai and Dharmapuri record 101 degrees. Hundred degrees was recorded in places like Thanjavur and Coimbatore etc. Today, 17th April, the maximum temp would be 5 degrees Fahrenheit above the normal. On 17th, 18th and on 19th dry climate might prevail in TN, Puducherry and Karaikal etc. The sky would be cloudy in Chennai and its suburbs for the next 2 days.
