As schools in Tamil Nadu are set to reopen on June 7, many people who traveled to their hometowns with their children are now returning to their workplaces. This has resulted in crowded bus stations across the region. To accommodate the increased passenger volume, additional buses are being operated for the convenience of travelers.
Here are some of the places where additional buses are being operated:
  • Nagercoil Vadaseri Bus Station is operating an additional 10 buses to Chennai and Coimbatore.
  • Madurai Bus Station is operating an additional 20 buses to Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai.
  • Trichy Bus Station is operating an additional 50 buses to various locations in Tamil Nadu, including Trichy and Vellore.
  • Officials from the respective transport corporations have stated that more buses will be deployed based on the passenger count.
The efforts to increase bus services aim to facilitate the smooth transition of individuals returning to their workplaces after spending time with their families during the summer break.
