An important piece of information for the school students now!!
The SCERT or State Council of Educational and Research Training would prepare a common question paper for the quarterly examination for the students studying in the classes 6 to 12 in Tamil Nadu. This was confirmed by SS or Samagra Shiksha after the discussion regarding the NAS or national Assessment Survey.
It is noteworthy that the state project officer of SS held a discussion regarding the NAS based test quarterly exam for students in this academic year. The quarterly exams would begin from 15th of September 2023 onwards and after the discussion it was brought out that SCERT would prepare the quarterly exam question paper.
It must be recalled that in the month of August in this year SCERT prepared a common question paper for conducting learning outcomes/competency based tests for the students studying in the classes 6 to 9. This was mentioned by some officers from SS. For conducting exams in this year, SCERT formulated a common time table and SOP etc.
To check the capacity of the web portal under the education dept and the status of the distributed printers between 29 August and 1st September, a test run was held.
Samagra Shiksha has directed the director of both school and elementary education to inform the district officials about the upcoming examinations. This was carried out for ensuring smooth functioning of the exams.
For the students studying in the classes 6 to 10, quarterly examinations would be held on 19th September till 27th September. While students of classes 6 to 8 would be writing their exams at 10am in the morning and those studying in classes 9 and 10 would be writing their exams in the 2pm afternoon.
On 15th of September, quarterly exams would begin for the students studying in the classes 11 and 12. And the exams will be completed on 27th of September. The students of class 11 would be writing their exams from 9:30 am in the morning and class 12 students would be writing their exams from 1:15pm in the afternoon.
From 22nd September to 2nd October, mid- term break has been announced for the students studying in classes 1 to 3. From 27th September till 2nd of October mid- term break has been announced for the students studying in the classes 4 to 12.
