The QR Code system has been introduced in Fair Price Shops! In the first phase, the QR Code system has been introduced in 602 Fair Price Shops.

In other words, ration card holders can now use the QR Code system to pay for the items purchased in these 602 Fair Price Shops in Tamil Nadu for the first time!

Both the central and state governments have been making all-out efforts to reduce direct cash transactions and promote cashless modes of transactions. As part of this initiative, the Tamil Nadu State Government has introduced the QR Code system in 602 Fair Price Shops across the state.

Currently, from small shops on the pavement to large supermarkets and departmental stores, only cashless transactions are carried out. Therefore, citizens are not compelled to carry hard cash with them.

A decision was taken to implement this system in cooperative Departmental Fair Price Shops as well. As a result, this facility is now available in 602 Fair Price Shops in Tamil Nadu.

Specifically, it was introduced in 602 Fair Price Shops in Kanchipuram District with the QR Code system. Registrar Shanmugasundaram inaugurated this facility in the Fair Price shop located in Kanchipuram M. P. V. P. Nagar.
