The State Government of Tamil Nadu has declared that It is the FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL DISTIRCT COLLECTORS TO ENSURE ALL RATION-CARD HOLIDING CITIZENS RECEIVE THE PONGAL GIFT PACK ANNOUNCED BY IT!
With the most important festival of the Tamil people, Pongal Festival, scheduled to be celebrated on 15th January, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin had ordered that a Pongal Special Gift Pack of cash gift of Rs. 1000/- with 1 kg raw rice and 1 kg sugar for all Family Ration (rice) card holders.
There was complaint that the most important item of sugarcane was NOT INCLUDED in the Pongal gift pack announced!
Subsequently, this appeal was considered and accepted and it was announced that sugarcane also would be included in the Pongal Special Free Gift Pack!
It is planned to distribute the above-mentioned Pongal Special Gift Packs for rice family ration card holders from 3rd January to 8th January!
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister will be inaugurating the commencement of the Pongal Special Gift Pack Distribution!

IN A CIRCULAR SENT BY THE STATE GOVERNMETN OF TAMIL NADU TO ALL DISTRICT COLELECTORS EMPHASISING THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE TO ENSURE THAT THE RICE, SUGAR AND FULL PIECE OF SUGAECANE GIVEN ARE OF GOOD QUALITY! FURTHER, ELIGIBLE RATION CARDS MUST BE GIVEN THE PONGAL SPECIAL GIFT PACK AND MUST NOT BE LEFT OUT!
