Gold prices in Chennai witnessed an upward movement in today’s bullion market trading on May 29, 2026. Both 22-carat and 24-carat gold rates recorded gains, while silver prices also moved higher during the morning session.

According to the latest Chennai gold rate update, 22-carat gold prices increased by ₹100 per gram and are currently being sold at ₹14,600 per gram.

Meanwhile, pure 24-carat gold prices also climbed and are now trading at ₹15,927 per gram in Chennai bullion markets.

Silver prices registered an increase of ₹5 per gram and are currently priced at ₹290 per gram.

Compared to yesterday’s trading session, gold prices showed positive momentum in Chennai jewellery markets. On May 28, 2026, 22-carat gold was priced at ₹14,500 per gram, while 24-carat gold stood at ₹15,818 per gram.
