Gold prices in Chennai have climbed to a fresh all-time high, continuing their strong upward trend and causing concern among jewellery buyers.

At the start of the week, gold prices jumped sharply by ₹1,440 per sovereign, reaching ₹1,18,880. The following day saw a further increase of ₹240, taking the price to ₹1,19,120 per sovereign (22 carat).

₹320 increase per sovereign – ₹1,19,440 per sovereign

The consistent rise in gold rates has significantly impacted customers planning wedding and investment purchases.
