The central government has announced a ban on 14 medicines commonly used for ailments like cold, fever, and cough. These drugs, categorized as FTC-type drugs containing compounded formulations, underwent rigorous scrutiny under the supervision of the Central Government`s Drug Technology Advisory Board. After thorough examination, it was determined that these 14 drugs may pose risks to human health.
To safeguard public well-being, the central government has prohibited the production, sale, and distribution of these drugs. The ban comes into immediate effect in accordance with the government`s decision.
1. Salbutamol + Etofylline + Bromhexine
2. Ammonium Chloride + Sodium Citrate + Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Menthol
3. Phenytoin + Phenobarbitone Sodium
4. Chlorpheniramine + Codeine Phosphate + Menthol Syrup
5. Salbutamol + Bromhexine
6. Paracetamol + Bromhexine + Phenylephrine + Chlorpheniramine + Guaiphenesin
7. Dextromethorphan + Chlorpheniramine + Guaiphenesin + Ammonium Chloride
8. Nimesulide + Paracetamol dispersible tablets
9. Amoxicillin + Bromhexine
10. Pholcodine + Promethazine
11. Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Dextromethorphan + Guaiphenesin + Ammonium Chloride + Menthol
12. Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine Syrup
13. Ammonium Chloride + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan
 
14. Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan + Ammonium Chloride + Menthol
