Our sinuses would get inflamed when we have colds, allergies etc. It is known that sinuses are hollow air spaces inside the bones surrounding the nose. As a result, there would be blockage and drainage and we would find it uncomfortable. It is noteworthy that the leakage could manifest as drooling.
