Waiting Costs the Most in Business By J Sampath, Founder and CEO of JB Soft System

Waiting Costs the Most in Business By J Sampath, Founder and CEO of JB Soft System

In business, waiting is expensive.

Whether we are waiting or making others wait, the cost is invisible – but real. It slows down progress, demotivates people, drains energy, and disrupts flow.

Waiting for a response…
Waiting for a go-ahead…
Waiting for a decision, approval, or missing information…

These delays don’t just consume time – they cost momentum, morale, and money.

Every moment spent waiting due to inaction or indecision compounds into:

– Missed opportunities
– Slower execution
– Loss of trust and engagement
– Disconnected teams
– Delayed outcomes

What Can We Do?

While some things may lie outside our circle of control, what lies within our circle of influence is our response time and decisiveness.

– Reply to that email
– Share that key information
– Respond to the message
– Take the decision you`re authorized to take
– Enable others to act without bottlenecks

Let’s not allow the world to slow down because of us.

Be the reason progress moves forward, not the reason it’s held back.

Use the Right Tools. Build the Right Systems.

Efficient communication is not a luxury – it’s a necessity.

Set up systems where you, your team, and your stakeholders are empowered to:

– Share and access information quickly
– Communicate clearly
– Make timely decisions
– Track tasks without follow-up fatigue

Whether it`s a simple shared document, a workflow app, or a custom-built solution – build systems that reduce waiting.

It breaks the flow of teamwork and weakens the combined energy that makes great teams successful.

Let’s Keep the Economy Moving

In your circle of business, become the accelerator, not the bottleneck.
For yourself.
For your team.
For the industry.
For the evolving economy.

Don’t wait. Don’t make others wait. Let’s move forward – together.

Feeling too hot in the summers can be due to these reasons!!

Feeling too hot in the summers can be due to these reasons!!

This is the month of April and the heat is unbearable. In many parts of India, alerts regarding heat waves have been issued. The central as well as northern parts of India usually have high heat and due to this people in these parts find it highly uncomfortable.  There are some people who feel restless and tired as they feel more heat.

One question now is why some people feel more heat than the others?

An important reason why some people feel more heat is due to their body temperature. It is known that the temperature of our body is around 98.6 degree Fahrenheit or 37 degrees Celsius. By the process of thermoregulation, our body itself would manage the temperature in us. When this thermoregulation doesn`t function properly in some persons, they would feel more heat when compared to the others.

Various other reasons are

Fast metabolism:

There are some people who have fast metabolism that leads to more energy. They would feel more heat than the others.

Hormonal imbalance:

Menopause, hormonal changes, PCOS etc can make a woman feel hotter. It is worthy to note that thyroid issues could also cause problems controlling body temperature.

Obesity:

It must be taken into account that persons who have excess body fat would also feel hot when compared to others. This would be due to the slow digestion in them.

Lack of hydration:

Overheating would be possible for us if we don`t drink adequate amounts of water per day. So, please take care.

Stress etc:

It is known that stress can lead to several health issues in us. Many of us would not associate stress with body heat. Truth is that persons with stress would feel more heat.

Excessive use of medicines:

Many of us consume medicines for BP, depression etc. These people would feel hotter than others. Please be careful.

Intake of excess of oily & spicy foods:

Intake of oily and spicy foods can also lead to more heat in thehe body. This would be due to high heart rate after intake of spicy foods.

Smoking and alcohol intake:

A person who smokes or drinks alcohol regularly would feel hotter when compared to others. Not only this, there are more chances of getting several health issues due to these habits.
