The Minister for Health of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, Ma. Subramanian has informed that though several countries the world over are affected by the raging, fast-speeding new version of the corona, the State of Tamil Nadu is presently in a safe position!
The Minister, who took a flight from Chennai Metro City to Thoothukkudi to participate in several inaugural functions, had a session with the press reporters on the arrival of the flight at Thoothukkudi Airport this morning (Friday, 23rd December).
“As the new version of the coronavirus spreading fast and wide across several countries in the world, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister conducted a survey of the status in Tamil Nadu regarding sufficient stock of medicines/vaccines, sufficient beds in hospitals, and oxygen!
.Further, as the new version of coronavirus is spreading rampantly in America, China, and South Korea, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister emphasized that TESTS MUST BE UNDERTAKEN OF THE PASSENGERS ARRIVING IN CHENNAI METRO CITY FROM THESE COUNTRIES!
ESPECIALLY, RANDOM 2% RTPCR TESTS MUST BE UNDERTAKEN FOR PASSENGERS ARRIVING FROM JAPAN, CHINA, AND HONGKONG!
Subsequently, Test Centres will be set up in the International Airports in Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, and Madurai to test the passengers arriving with symptoms of cold, fever, and cough!
Further, the stock of medicines required for the next 6 months is available! As regards beds in hospitals, the beds already arranged during the last raging coronavirus pandemic are already on hand!
Intensive Care Units have been set up in all hospitals throughout Tamil Nadu. Special Beds are available for Children!
AS SUCH, THE PUBLIC NEED NOT PANIC!
The task of the first corona vaccine has been completed 96%! 2nd Vaccine has been completed at 92%! As such, 90% of citizens in Tamil Nadu WILL HAVE IMMUNITY AGAINST THE DISEASE!
IN TAMIL NADU, THERE HAS BEEN A SITUATION WHERE NO DEATHS HAVE BEEN REPORTED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS!
OVER THE LAST 10 DAYS, STATISTICS OF AFFECTED HAVE BEEN REPORTED AS 6, 7, OR 8!
Farther as per the tests conducted yesterday (Thursday, 22nd December) 6 citizens have been confirmed with infection,
As such, at present, the State of Tamil Nadu is in a REASONABLY SAFE SITUATION!
The Health Minister further added that ALL CITITIZENS MUST STRICTLY ADHERE TO WEARING FACIAL MASKS IN PUBLIC GATHERING LOCATIONS AND STRICTLY ADHERE TO KEEP THE SOCIAL DISTANCING!
