On the special occasion of the Pongal Festival, all schools and colleges are closed for 4 days in Tamil Nadu! They are set to reopen on 18th January
Tamil Nadu State Government has declared holidays until 17th January for all schools, colleges and offices! However, students of some of the private schools and colleges have declared the 16th & 17th as working days for certain special subject courses!
On the occasion of the most important festival of the Tamil Community, Pongal, known as ‘Thamizhar Thirunaal’, the appeal has been made that all academic institutes must declare 4 days of holidays without any discrimination for teachers, lecturers/professors, college/school staff, and the students!
