With just 3 months to go for the end of the year 2022, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has released the list of holidays for the year 2023!

The list of holidays for 2023 has been released by the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, V. Iraiyanbu.

There are 24 holidays announced on the list!

At the same time, in the list of General Holidays released by the State Government of Tamil Nadu, of 24 holidays, 8 holidays including Deepavali and Pongal occur on Saturdays and Sundays.

In the list of the holidays of 2023, the very first holiday is New Year`s Day, which falls on a Sunday! Subsequently, the Pongal festival also occurs on a Sunday!

Vinayaka Chathurthi also falls on a Sunday! Most notable is that the all-important festival of Deepavali also falls on a Sunday!

As such, it is naturally expected that citizens of all age groups including school students and office-goers would rather be sorely disappointed on this as the most eagerly awaited holidays of the year including Deepavali, Pongal, Vinayaka Chathurthi have fallen on Sundays!!!
