On the occasion of Maha Shivratri and the upcoming weekend, Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporations have arranged for 1,360 special buses to accommodate increased travel demand. Out of these, 1,090 buses will operate from Chennai Kilambakkam to destinations such as Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Tirupur for three days. Additionally, 70 special buses will run from Chennai and Coimbatore to Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru.
 
Moreover, there will be a total of 1,360 buses, including 200 special ones, available from various locations like Bengaluru, Tirupur, Erode, and Coimbatore to other areas. Travelers can book these buses via the website www.tnstc.in and the TNSTC app.
 
Special arrangements have also been made for the return journey from hometowns to Chennai and Bengaluru on Sunday, according to passenger requirements. This information was provided by R. Mohan, the Managing Director of Rapid Transport Corporation.
