The District Collector of Ranippettai has ordered a holiday for all schools and colleges today (Wednesday, 23rd November!
The low pressure which formed over the Bay of Bengal has weakened. As such, it is expected that the persistent rains in Tamil Nadu over the last 2 days will abate as per the report from the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre.
Further, a warning had been issued that there are prospects for medium rain for the next 5 days in several districts including Ranippettai, Thiruvallur, and Villupuram and it has been raining in these districts since yesterday night.
As per the above situation and considering the well-being of the students, the District Collector has announced a holiday for 1 day today (Wednesday, 23rd November)!
