Mr. Shiv Das Meena, state chief secretary has sent an important instruction to all the district collectors etc now. It has been brought to light that the district collectors must inspect the government schools and monitor the Ennum Ezhuthum scheme plus other student welfare projects etc.

It is the right of every student to receive quality education and benefits from all govt schemes. It was the duty of the district collectors to ensure this. This was mentioned by the state chief secretary in his letter. He added that for successful execution of the schemes all the dist collectors have been directed to inspect schools periodically.

Things to be checked by dist collectors:
Learning levels of the children based on their performance and competence, learning outcomes, activities, happiness and stress levels, non-threatening atmosphere, infrastructure and facilities etc.

The chief secretary has explained in the letter (with regards to the breakfast and noon meal scheme) that the cleanliness of the facilities and availability of proper infrastructures like water and toilets etc must be monitored.

The dist collectors must also ensure that all the students were screened by the teachers thru mobile app for the effective implementation of school health scheme along with National Health Mission and Public Health
